Suggest Treatment For Deep Vein Thrombosis
Question: I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg 6 weeks ago and was prescribed a blood thinner. While taking the blood thinner I developed another blood clot.

Sometimes it is hard to prevent thrombosis even if patient is on blood thinners, especially in those with predisposition for thrombosis. It also depends on what type of blood thinner you are. If you take Martefarin or Warfarin then you need to regulate your prothrombine time and this may not be easy.
Your dosage should be adjusted according to your PT/INR. It is better to take Pradaxa which is more expensive but more efficient as well.
Also, wearing elastic socks and adequate mobility is important.
