Suggest Treatment For Depression And Bipolar Symptoms

I also know his older brother has been diagnosed with bipolar. I guess I am wondering if you think this is a mental condition or if maybe he may have been sexually abused or something happened to him as a child or even as a teenager. He despises his mom, or should I say that he was very rude to her when we first met, and he can't stand his real dad. His mother did end up marrying again about a year or so later, but they divorced when he was a teenager and I know that he shared that everything went downhill after that. His mother went from boyfriend to boyfriend, and they lived in a feast or famine atmosphere. They even lived somewhere for a short time where there was no running water or electricity. I have no idea what to do for I see it affecting my children who are 26, 24, 15, and 12.
Consult a psychiatrist for mental evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query.
I think, you and you husband should consult a psychiatrist. In your case, it is important that what's going on in your husband mind. If he has some grudges against you, then why?. This is the only solution in your case. He has positive history of mental disorder in family and trouble childhood. That would also effect his personality, but after 30 years of marriage, there is no need to discuss about his personality. Main thing in his case is his thought process. May be he is in depression and he also needs antidepressant or may be he has underline bipolar disorder. There are lot of questions like this, but solution is his mental evaluation. Better to consult a psychiatrist for his mental evaluation and proper treatment plan.
In case, you need further help, you can ask.
