Brief Answer:
These symptoms could be due to depression or adjustment disorder

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The symptoms you are having like excessive sleepiness, stress at work, lack of energy, feeling demotivated could be occurring due to some mood disturbance or possibly adjustment issues. You have mentioned that you wanted to change track at work and if you developed these symptoms while at work, then adjustment disorder is the most probable cause. A lot of individuals, due to persistent stress, develop depressive symptoms. Changing lifestyle or another psychological interventions can help only to some extent. I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for evaluation. Some medical causes like hyperthyroidism, vitamin B12/folate deficiency, anaemia etc are also known to cause these symptoms. these medical issues must be ruled out. Apart from lifestyle changes like yoga, meditation, relaxation exercises, I would advise you to

- increase intake of diet containing high protein and complex carbohydrates and low in fat and refined carbohydrates
- Take supplements containing vitamin B12 and folate. These are available at most chemists.
- Increase the intake of omega 3 fatty acid rich foods like walnuts, sardine or Salomon fish. This will help in reducing fatigue and will improve the motivation.
- Have good refreshing sleep of 7 hours a day.
- Avoid overanalysis and don't over think.

If these changes don't help then medicinal treatment will be needed. SSRI are commonly used for the treatment. These drugs are safe and will reduce your symptoms. So please consider consulting a Psychiatrist for symptoms if no relief.
Thanks and Take care. You are welcome to ask follow up doubts.
