Question: i have a lot of symptoms of diabetes. urinating a lot, thirsty, dry mouth, fatigued, bleeding gums(despite good dental hygeine), partial numbness of one of two of my toes, cluster blisters on my foot and recently blurried vision(when im sitting down for periods of time, its fine when im moving around). have had a1c that came back 4.8, two fasting blood sugars, one came back under 100, the other 101 which is higher than it should be. none of the doctors seemed concerned but i am, so i have an appointment with an endocronologist but i cant get in till XXXXXXX 22nd. is there anything i can do till then to at least control my blood sugar levels? im getting frustrated with lack of answers from all the doctors ive gone to. if it isnt diabetes there is some cause. thank you.

Brief Answer:
Another type of diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to note your symptoms.

Your tests do not suggest overt diabetes so the symptoms you are experiencing are not due to this.

However, there is another type of diabetes called Diabetes Insipidus which is much less common. It also leads to frequent urination and thirst.

Diagnosing this condition can be challenging but an endocrinologist specializes in this too. So a thorough in-person examination and laboratory testing is necessary.

But not all your symptoms can be explained by diabetes insipidus so you will need to consult a general physician or internist who will guide you to appropriate specialists as needed.
For example you will need an eye check for your blurred vision and neurology evaluation for the numbness and blisters
