Suggest Treatment For Diabetic Neuropathy
Question: Hello Doc,
I'm suffering from diabetic neuropathy for a long time. I've been taking a tablet of Remyln D and Methycal daily at night. I still have tingling feet. Would you be able to suggest any alternates or add ons. Please suggest. I am also taking Betacard 50mg once in morning and Nicardia Retard 10mg twice daily for BP related medication. If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this clinical history,I would have suggested that we can put you a trial of antineuralgic medicines and observe for the response.You can be started on any of the following drugs-
1)Amitriptyline
2)Pregabalin
3)Gabapentin
4)Duloxetine
and depending on the response,the dose can be adjusted or even the medicine can be changed.
