Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Diarrhea is most commonly caused by a viral or bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract with viruses being more common than bacteria.

In general the symptoms usually last less than a week, with most symptoms resolving within 5 days. IN some cases however , symptoms may last 2 to 4 weeks.
If diarrhea lasts more than 4 weeks, it is called chronic diarrhea.

Treatment involves: (1)rest, first and foremost

(2)no solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms. When you have gone 4 hours, with no diarrhea and reduced nausea, then you can try a small amount of dry food eg toast, biscuits, plain rice, small amount of banana

If these are tolerated, increase the amounts and start varying the foods.

(3)hold off the ibuprofen for now. This is an NSAID and these medications can cause gastritis (inflammation/irritation of the stomach). It may contribute to the symptoms.
Use tylenol/paracetamol for any pain (such as the headache) , chills or fever

(4)continue the gatorade and peptobismol

(5)can continue the breakfast drink if it does not contain any milk

(6)consider the use of probiotics either on their own or in yogurts with probiotics
Probiotics have been shown to shorten diarrhea in some persons

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
