Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea After Having Mirena Coil Removed
I am 44 years old and just had my mirena coil removed after 4 years bit it could not be reinserted as I only measures 15cm . it was very painful and I had a large pv bleed . I ended up in hospital to find out following a trans vaginal scan that the lining of my womb is 16mm and I have a large fibroid behind my ovary measuring 10cm ( I was aware of this 4 years ago before my mirena was inserted but it was only 4cm then). I have now had uterine biopsies and blood tests and awaiting results. For the past 4 years I have had diarrhoea, and currently I have had terrible trouble with urine infections and a bad back. Could the thickening of my womb and enlargement of this fibroid be due to my mirena no longer working although I was only experiencing spotting before it was removed

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting healthcaremagic.
Mirena is a progesterone IUCD and fibroid per se is an estrogen dependent benign tumour which has grown to the present size of 10cm and causing pressure symptoms over rectum and even bladder.
Pressure symptoms on rectum could range from diarrhoea to alternate constipation.
Pressure on bladder due to its size fibroid can cause increased frequecy of urine, hesistancy , urgency and possible urinary infections.
The endometrial thickness of 16mm is a concern with Mirena it should have been ideally thinner, so a biopsy has been done to rule out any uterine cancer with the possibility that MIrena was not effective at all during the whole 4 years.
If the biospy is negative for atypia or cancer then it would be advisable to get a hysterectomy done along with the fibroid as its symptomatic and if you dont desire to retain your fertility further.

these bp levels dangerous..get admitted asap
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
with these blood pressure readings you have to be placed under antihypertensives as high blood pressure can not only harm you and progress to seizures or eclamsia but also there are chances of placental seperation and fetal death if not kept under surveillance.
At these bp levels and proteinuria you should get admitted to the hospital and be started on antihypertensives.
As in pre eclamptic cases worsening of maternal and fetal situation is sudden and wont give you time to react.
complete bed rest have to be followed.
please get admitted soon.
Given an option i would have admitted you right away.

sorry, it was for another patient..your concern addressed..
Detailed Answer:
i am extremely sorry,
this message was meant was another patient .
well at these blood pressures and considering your age group , the blood pressures can might as well be due to secondary renal hypertension following back pressure changes on kidney, which needs to be confirmed on ultrasound.
so renal pelvis dilatation if seen on ultrasound then possibility of renal hypertension cannot be negated, and when the cause would be removed , the kidney would be relieved of the stress and likely that bp levels may get controlled unless there are other reasons for essential hypertension.
You may visit your gyno and discuss these in detail.

So is it a possibility that this 10 cm fibroid or high oestrogen levels ... womb lining of 16 mm cause hypertension
explained...
Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for the follow up
Estrogen levels and thick endometrial lining has no relation to hypertension at all.
However fibroid can be indirectly related to renal hypertension secondary to pressure on bladder and causing back pressure changes in kidney leading to hypertension.

Detailed Answer:
hello,
The blood pressure levels are high but moderately high and not severe hypertension. At your age group a bp range of 130-140 mm hg systolic and 80-90mm Hg is considered ideal.
You would require anti-hypertensives for the control .
However if you dont have nay symptoms of constant headaches, dizziness episodes , then your body is compensating well and its not alarming at this stage.
You can very well visit your physician without much of a concern about your pressure and yes you can even walk around.
