Brief Answer:
Pain/bloating and X-ray of abdomen can tell the exact position.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about Miralax bowel preparation and understood your concerns.
Miralax is Polyethylene Glycol and acts as osmotic laxative, meaning it draws out more water from the body into the intestines and hence acts as laxative.
You have started Miralax bowel preparation at 9 am and had dark diarrhea 4 times - still have a lot of Miralax - diarrhea stopped - although diarrhea was not clear fluid - stopped Miralax even was not finished - will wait for diarrhea to resume - wants to know whether fecal impaction ....
You should have got the schedule on how to take Miralax by your Nurse or Doctor.
Please follow exactly as advised unless there are any problems like boating, pain or so.
Fecal impaction can be known by clinical picture of pain in abdomen in colonic area, bloating and feeling to pass more stool. It can also be seen on plain X-ray of abdomen.
Take plenty of oral fluids to avoid dehydration and hasten the passing of the remaining stools till the stools are clear watery.

I hope this answers your query.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
Please give feedback:
Is the preparation for colonoscopy or to clear the colon?
Any other information that you would like to share.
How much Miralax have you taken till now and what was advised by your Nurse/Doctor?
