Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea With White Flakes In Stool
Question: I have diarreah with white flakes what is this
Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will like to know for how long this has been going on. If it is a recent observation, I will say monitor only. Also, how often do you have to visit the toilet? Diarrhea often requires nothing more than increased fluid intake as resolution is often spontaneous. Preventing dehydration through increased fluid intake is what really matters. Should this persist, I will recommend a stool analysis.
On another note, have you had a screening colonoscopy already?
I hope to hear back from you and hope this sheds some light on your problem. Keep me posted and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

It went on for a couple months. Went to doctor because within 30 minutes after eating i had to go like right away. Doc sent me for sonagram of gallbladder . results were gallstones
Brief Answer:
Seems unlikely to be gall stones. Take imodium!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Unlikely that gallstones will cause an immediate diarrhea following food intake. This seems to be suggestive of irritable bowel syndrome, motility type. For this, I will suggest that you take imodium without exceeding 3tablets in a day. Report progress to me and always remember to drink much water after every watery stool.
I wish you well.

Thankyou for your answer. I did not feel like it was gallbladder either. Thought it might be a bacterial infection. But no fever ever. What worried me was the white flakes. And the diarreah disappeared two weeks ago.
Brief Answer:
Observe only!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will say stay calm and observe only at this time.
I wish you well.
