Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

Question: My mum is suffering from diarrhoea at the moment but it is yellow in colour. She has had it for some time and won't go away. What do you think is causing it?
Brief Answer:
It could be due to malabsorption.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through the details provided. However, I would request you to be specific on how long she has been having the symptoms. Usually diarrhoea is caused due to some gastrointestinal infection, mostly viral. But if that is the case, it is likely to subside soon. If not, malabsorption is more likely.
I would await your response. A stool microscopy would be helpful.
In case of diarrhoea, repelenishment of the lost water and salts is of primary concern. ORS or oral rehydration solution should therefore be given.
