Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Breathing When Diagnosed With Mild Asthma

Question: For as long as I can remember I have found it difficult in breathing through my nose. Recently I have worked out this is probably because when I inhale deeply my nostrils get very small and my whole nose seems to decrease in size. Having googled this there seems to be a condition that sounds like what I describe called nasal valve collapse but I have been to the doctors and had a spirometry and have been diagnosed with 'mild asthma' I explained that my symptoms are significantly relieved when I flare my nostrils but they didn't take this into consideration. Should I go back and try a different doctor? I'm in the UK so I went to my GP hoping to get a referral.
