Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Urination

Question: Hi. I'm concerned. I was sexually intimate with someone last week. Later that night I tried 3 different times to urinate and it was really difficult. Not once was I fully capable of urinating completely. For a few days I felt like I had a UTI. Frequency and painful urination. Then I thought maybe I developed a yeast infection as there was an odor and I noticed when I wiped there was a slight pink tint. Also I noticed I had a cut on the outside of my vagina. I thought maybe I cut myself shaving. I panicked and scheduled an STD test. Still waiting for results but going crazy in the meantime. Since then, it seems all issues have completely diminished. What could my issue(s) be?
My partner had also stated he was having some issues right after we had sex. I'm freaking out.

Brief Answer:

Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
Yeast infections are slow to develop and do not cause drastic symptoms as in your case.
It can happen if you had a urethral bruising due to vigorous buffeting during the act especially if the partner had been with a bigger organ.
If that is not the case then there is possibility of STD, you should wait for the results. You should also get urinalysis, urine culture and sensitivity done. If the partner is known to you then ask him to be tested for STDs as well.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
