Suggest Treatment For Discoloration On The Penile Shaft After Using Flourouracil

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Dec 2016
Question: I was prescribed Flourouracil 5% top solution for a cancerous spot on my penis shaft. After using for several weeks my shaft, head to scrotom and balls are severely discolored and irritated (looks burned). Its I think the solution leaked down to other parts when I sweated and I'm afraid I've done damage. I called my dermatologist and she suggested I stop using for several days ago and apply only vaseline and Aquaphor healing ointment to the affected area. its been 4 days and its still so irritated and painful I can barely walk. How long with this pain last and should I go see someone? Thank you

Brief Answer:
I suggest you see the doctor as well!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is like a burn and needs close attention. Even small wounds in this area might complicate so easily and might be difficult to handle. I suggest that you see a doctor for evaluation and proper management.

For the pains, you ned medications such as tramadol/morphine which would be impossible to get over the counter. This is another reason why seeing a doctor is very important. He would order the scripts for good pain relief.

Thanks and keep me posted.
