Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis And Severe Pain In The Lower Back
Question: I have diverticulitis and jarring pain in my lower back is that normal for this disease?
Brief Answer:
Can occur
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Diverticulitis is known to give referred lower back pain which in turn can cause the muscles to go into protective spasm and cause jarring pain.
Obviously, local causes should also be ruled out by local examination and if required an MRI of the spine.
Diverticulitis in attack can best be diagnosed by a CT scan and be treated with prescription based antibiotic, Metronidazole and probiotics.
I hope this answers your query.
