Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis

Yes, she needs evaluation by her physician!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that your wife has been going through. I will like to know if diarrhea and vomiting were part of the initial symptoms that too her to the hospital. If this is not the case, then the diarrhea may be a complication related to antibiotics in the form of Clostridium difficile.
If they were not part of the initial symptoms, then the cause of these symptoms need to be investigated and addressed. she has not gotten any better even after completing treatment and this is itself mandates that she gets another evaluation. I will like to see this one by the same physician who started the treatment unless this is not possible before you switch. This is to ensure continuity of care.
In all, sitting is not an option here. If the diagnosis was correct, the treatment has failed or these symptoms are caused by another condition that has not been addressed. In the meantime, let her drink much fluids, avoid sweetened drinks, increase her fiber intake, etc. These would help while we try and figure out what the cause is.
Is she having any blood or mucus in stool? Are the stools completely watery and in abundant volumes?
I hope this helps. I wish her well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thanks for using our services.

See a doctor at this time!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.
It is clear that the treatment has not provided the expected results. It is but normal to get the treatment evaluated and adjusted accordingly. If the current doctor would not, i will recommend that you see another doctor. A Gastroeneterologist would be the best specialist to consult.
Keep me updated about your plan and her progress.
