Most patient recover from dizziness & pain in ear after air blow in ear within half hour .

No need to apprehensive about it. Just follow the instruction carefully .

people said that the caloric test was terrible and that they didnt recover for days, so I backed out. The test was described to me as very unpleasant. I might reschedule, not sure. I am not dizzy mine is more of an off balance so it might be allergies anyway. Should have had that checked first I guess. But the reviews I read on here about the test concerned me.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

If you are not having dizziness , it is more like imbalance then you can avoid VNG .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
get the complete ENT examination done & also rule out any neck problem .

In my opinion , you should start anti allergy medication if you are having nasal allergy .

Hope this information helpful to you .
Regards.
