Suggest Treatment For Dizzy Spells In An Elderly Woman

Question: My mother is 82 and for the most part healthy. For the last 6 months or so she's been having dizzy spells. Some are so bad she can't get up. She isn't driving and is missing out on many activities she enjoys. She has told her Dr's but they don't seem concerned. I am. It is affecting her quality of life. What kinds of tests do you recommend? Her mother passed away at 84 or so, her father was 94 and her maternal grandmother was 100. I would love her to be around for a long time to come but not just lying around because she is dizzy. Any advice would be appreciated.
Brief Answer:
A brain MRI should help.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
In my opinion, a brain MRI should help understand better the cause of dizziness.
It could be start of dementia, transient ischemic attack, XXXXXXX stroke, or inner ear dysfunction.
Treatment depends on MRI results.
