Suggest Treatment For Dropping Beta HCG Levels

Question: I had a positive pregnancy blood test 4 days ago- hcg was 70. 3 days later results dropped to 58 but progresterone has more than doubled. I am an IVF patient and had two blastocysts put back. I have been bleeding on and off for 6 days but no clotting. How quickly would you expect hcg to decrease if miscarriage? And could it be a vanishing twin that caused the drop?
Brief Answer:
You are probably undergoing miscarriage
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I understand your concerns about falling beta hCG levels.
Ideally serum beta hCG blood test levels should double every 48 hours.
But it is falling in your case which means pregnancy is no longer viable and you are likely to have had miscarriage.
Hence I suggest you repeat the serum beta hCG blood test on scheduled date to confirm miscarriage. Meanwhile continue medicines. Beta hCG levels should fall by one week.
This is not vanishing twin. Its too early for that.
