Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough, Fever And Congestion In The Sinuses

Question: QUESTION FOR DR RATNESH PANDEY - This is following my query on dry cough about 5 days ago. The cough has subsided but the infection seems to have spread. I now have fever and congestion in my sinuses. Occassionally running nose with slightly yellowish phlegm. Please prescribe something for quick recovery as I have something urgent to attend in the next 2-3 days.
Secondly my daughter too is having cough (in continuation of my previous query). Running nose with not-so-watery phlegm. She is taking Broxum P and Dabur Honitus as per the advice of the local pediatrician. I want to parallel give homeo as it helps in complete recovery from my past experience.

That is good sign that your cough has been subside, but it doesn't mean that infection is cured and a small amount of cough is still in the lung which is causing fever and congestion.
I am changing some medicine this time which will help to remove the cough and also cure the infection
You can start with
Pulsatilla 200 6 pills twice in day XXXXXXX bichrom 200 6 pills twice in day
continue the earlier medicine for some more days
Nasal infection is causing the sinus congestion.Once cough is removed the congestion in sinus will be cure.
Regarding the baby
There is no issue in taking the other medicine along with homeopathic medicine
i would suggest you to give her Dulcamara 30 6 pills three times in day for 7 days. This medicine works in changing environment and protects against cough and cold. This will also help to cure current problem.

So i can say medicine will work in many ways in your case including fever

Hi doctor, I am taking the medicines including the ones for cough - Justicia adh q and Sanguneria but I still have pain in my sinuses and today my eyes are watering profusely. Sorry but am getting a bit impatient this time due to sinus pain and irritation in my entire face. By when should I expect relief?

I would suggest you to take Hot steam at-least 2-3 times in day.morning, before sleeping and one in between the day.
This is for quick action and pain management. This is will help you to loose the deposits from sinus.
Pain is due to blockage of sinus and once blockage is clear pain subside itself.

Ok am already doing that, will continue for some more days. Also wanted to ask you my daughter seems to have increased cough now. It is not longer dry. Today she vomited also while coughing. She is otherwise fine - no temperature or cranking. Should I give her something more alongside Dulcamara 30?

That is good sign she vomited.She is doing good. Vomiting was controlled effect of medicine. That is important to remove the cough from her lung for complete relief and it is not easy to remove the cough only by nasal discharge. So some times it also comes from mouth. Continue the medicine for some more days and she will be alright.
one more thing that this is changing environment so protect her from being exposed. Continue the dulcamara. Dulcamara is a good proved medicine in changing weather.
Regarding your problem continue the earlier advised medicine it will slowly release your congestion. This is important for you if cough is allowed to dry it will lead a another big long lasting problem.

Dear Doctor, my daughter vomited 5-6 times (even water) and was indicating some stomach pain so took her to the paediatrician. He said it could be some indigestion. Has given some drops. My sinuses are much better today but the dry cough is very frequent and is giving me a headache. Anyway will continue the medicines.

Please tell me what exactly she is vomiting example undigested food, semidigested food, water, thick sticky water with fowl smell etc

Regarding your sinus once blockage is clear headache will subside. If you think headache is severe you can take Belladonna 200 6 pills three times in day, Belladonna is one of the best medicine in congestive headache

Now she is vomiting whatever she is eating, only yesterday night she slept after taking a glass of pediasure in water. Today morning she drank as well but threw out after taking water. And then fell fast asleep even though she slept well through the night. I will give her Ors when she wakes up. Yesterday after throwing out the lunch even a sip of water was getting thrown out. And pale yellowish syrupy liquid was coming out. Today will have to see how it goes. Will give her Ipecac 30 once she wakes up.

That yellow vomit was Cough which was deposited in lung. Thats good it was vomited out.
You should give her ipecauc as advised. Her undigested vomit was a concern for me. And you have to keep eye on her health. There is some problem in her digestive system.

Since evening she is passing slimy stools with gases. Seems like a stomach infection. I have Trombidium 30, Mag Carb 30, Aloes Q at home. Will any of them work? They worked last time around 3-4 months ago. If yes, please let me know the dosage.

Hi doctor, my daughter is taking all medicines both for her cough and stomach infection. But the cough doesn't seem to subside. The frequency is not very high but she is vomiting almost after every meal due to the Thurst of the cough. Appetite has also gone down due to the stomach infection.

Start with
Gambogia 30 6 pills twice in day
Aloes 6 6 pills twice in day

Please mention in details about her cough problem as you have mentioned that cough is not subside
whether she is having expectoration or dry cough ?
Time and onset of cough ?
any fever or high temperature noticed?
Please mention your observation about her during coughing

Medicine will help you to get relief from infection. Gambogia is very specific medicine for pathogen infection in alimentary canal.
Once infection is cure the appetite will be normal.

Ok. The cough is not dry. Sometimes cough comes out with vomiting. No fever everything fine except cough. Not very frequent but repetitive whenever she coughs. Feels like there is congestion inside even though paediatrician said it is mild. She is taking Broxum P and Dabur Honitus as advised by him. And also Dulcamara 30.

in such case Ammonium Carb works good.
I would suggest you to give Ammonium Carb 3x 4 pills twice in day this will completely cure the problem. this will controle cough and vomiting
If you are finding difficulty to get the medicine then you can try
Hepar sulph 30 6 pills twice in day
Ipecac 30 6 pills twice in day

But preferably try for Ammonium Carb 3x
You can stop Dulcamara
