Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough, Joints Pain And Headache

Question: My wife has had a fever of 100-101 for 3 weeks. Persistent dry cough, burning in the lungs, severe joint pain at night, headache in rear of head near stem, chills, shortness of breath and acute fatigue. Treatment with Zithromax spak did not help. Visit to express care did not reveal pneumonia sounds and X-ray was not revealing. Recent exposure to mold and possible tick exposure.
Any ideas? Symptoms getting worse

I have gone through the history given in your query.
The symptoms described seem to be due to suspected infection caused by tick bites. Ticks carrying the bacteria (Rickettsia) are the most common source of infection. The prescribed antibiotic Zithromax is not so effective in eradicating such type of infection. I advise you to get her examined by a physician for further evaluation and treatment. In addition to analgesics like Paracetamol,the antibiotic Doxycycline is the most effective treatment for tick born disease but it's not a good choice if she is pregnant.
Hope the suggestion given above would be useful in getting her treated as early as possible.
