Brief Answer:
Could be viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.

I presume you do not have fever as you have not mentioned about it.
Taking your other symptoms in to consideration, it looks like you have upper respiratory infection.
Most often it is due to viral infection and is self limiting and symptoms will subside in 3-5 days. Antibiotics are not given for viral infections. You can take tylenol, do salt water gargling and drink enough fluids.
If it persists for a longer time, get a complete blood count test and sputum/throat swab test. If these tests suggest a bacterial infection, then antibiotics are to be taken. Augmentin is usually given. Augmentin contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.

Regards,
Dr.Barani
