Brief Answer:
possible diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

Your wife has been experiencing dry mouth and needing to drink lots of water. This could be an early sign of diabetes. If she is also hungry all the time or having to urinate frequently I would have her checked for diabetes.

If she does not have diabetes she could be getting dry mouth just from the salicvry glands drying up. To help keep her mouth moist I usually recommend Biotene mouth wash. This is a mouth wash the moisturizes the lining and help reduce that dry feeling.

In summary
1. check for diabetes
2. Start biotene mouth wash
3. see her doctor if symptoms change or worsen
