Question : I have sjrogens so my throat is often dry I use Biotene to help with my dryness. In the morning I have a lump that I have to cough up it is difficult . The sputum is greeinsh and very thick. What would be causing the greenish sputum?

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well green sputum signifies infection , it can be pseudomonal invasion . But in case of infection other symptoms like fever should be there too . For sjogrens you should use artificial saliva . Biotene is not the standard treatment for that . Also let me know , what medicines you are taking .
