Suggest Treatment For Dryness And Itching On The Face
Question: I am having very itchy face skin. It has become very dry and looks like burnt. Also the area circling the eyes itches much more than the rest of the face. It has become red.
Brief Answer:
Use a moisturiser and a moderatyely potent topical steroid for a week

Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and I have understood your concern.
I suggest you to use a moisturiser e.g cetaphil moisturising cream mixed with an equal proportion (i.e 1:1) of a moderately potent topical steroid cream e.g flutivate cream. Use these together for a week. Thereafter, just continue with the moisturiser for a longer duration.
Avoid soaps on face. Instead use a gentle cleanser for face wash e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion, twice daily.
You may also take a tablet of cetrizine 10 mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
Regards
