Question: My son is a 30 month old and from last couple of weeks, his stomach is upset, I visited couple of doctors but the problem is not fixed. He is passing the motion around 3 to 4 times a day. Some time, watery, some times semi-liquid. The recent doctor suggested 8 injections twice a day, we took him for 2 injection but I think 8 injections are too much. I think they injecting anti-biotic. Please help me on this. Let me know if you need further details.

Brief Answer:
Investigations should be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

Complaint of repeated stomach upset with passing of stools three to four times can occur in stomach infection, celiac disease, tuberculosis, malabsorption syndrome.

I suggest you to do complete blood count, CRP levels, stool routine microscopy and culture test, TTG for celiac disease.

There is no point in giving injection of antibiotics without any diagnosis. Don't give him injections.

Give enterogermina ampule once a day for 5 days which is a prebiotic to increase gut immunity.

Child should be examined by a gastroenterologist if no diagnosis has been made so far.

Review with reports.

I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
