Suggest Treatment For Elevated FBS Levels
Question: have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 25ish years, used to be controlled w/ meds. now creeping upwards. last 2 HgA1c's were 7.8. used to be under 7. last few mornings readings 201, 197, 203. take Onglyza 5mg, metformin 2000mg, glipizide 30mg. am 76 yrs male, 5ft 8, 145lb, lift weights daily, walk 3 times daily (about 5mi total) do have a cold & cough right now, but creeping A1c's and higher readings predate illness. what else can I do to lower am readings? eat minimal and whole foods, enough to be losing weight.
