Suggest Treatment For Elevated GGT Levels
Question: This in reference to questions asked few months ago where after lab tests it was identified that my ggt levels were beyond range at 225 which has now reduced to 117.
This is my observation that if I pinch my skin on arms near armpit, after few days and not immediately the skin color on that location becomes yellow.
Is this normal ? What can be possible reasons?

Brief Answer:
Need to know the bilirubin level.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
A raised GGT level indicates insult to the liver. Therefore the best solution is to let the liver rest. It is good that the GGT is coming down. However, you have not mentioned your bilirubin levels. While some amount of yellowness of the skin (on pressure) is normal, increased yellowness (if present) could be due to raised bilirubin level (which could occur if the liver function is compromised) and hence I would need the report. Let me know and I would guide you further.
