Suggest Treatment For Elevated LDL Levels In The Body
![default](/r/images/default.png)
need further investigations as well as clinical evaluation..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM..
I've gone through your query as well as those reports and investigations and understand your concern..
Now first of all I need the current details of your health as everything you've shared here is from 2013-2014..
So have you done any check-ups/investigations since then ?
The last report is having incorrect lab ref-value for the lipid profile which your treating Doctor had rightly mentioned beside..
Even in your last report of 1st Dec'14, the cholesterol as well as LDL was in the higher range and you're prescribed to start Atorvastatin (Tonact) for lipid lowering purpose but you've mentioned here that you're currently not taking any medicine, can you please clarify all these ?
Also please let me know if your facing any health issues(no matter how insignificant it may feel like)..
Have you done any further investigations in this 1 year 7 months?
Awaiting your detailed reply so that I can guide you properly..
Take Care
Kind Regards

Thanks a lot for prompt response and guidance. Presently I am out of town up to 1st July. I don't have soft copy of my annual check up of report which is carried out last year. I will furnish the same as soon as I will back.
This report also reported 225 level. I consulted the doctor for the same he recommended not to worry as level is not increasing from 220 to 225 from last four years. He recommended to go for 4 hrs/week walking exercise. But i am unable to keep the exercise on continuous basis.
My query is regarding the same. The cholesterol level 225 is really worry figure or what shall i do to control it apart from medication (doctor advised to avoid medication)
Presently, I am not finding any health problem, but i am feeling that my body is getting stiffer than earlier day by day and my concentration level has gone down. Requesting your advise on these issues.
I got the soft copy of the report for year 2016, Requesting your advice on the health status.
follow the advises.. maintain a healthy lifestyle..
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX welcome Back..
Thanks for following up, yes I've gone through the reports of 27 Jan'16..this is also reflecting the changes due to overweight (being overweight is not obesity, you can easily cut it down with some strict lifestyle modifications)..
Now when you're saying "This report also reported 225 level", do you mean that there's another set of lipid profile in between Jan'16 and this June'16 ??
As this last report's suggestive of further increase in the level of Cholesterol from 226 to 250, Triglycerides 126 to 159 and LDL 140.80 to 173 (from Dec 2014 to XXXXXXX 2016).. So those data's which you've mentioned above might be from some other times reports..
But if it's the other way around, i.e. elevation of cholesterol to 250, Triglycerides to 159 and LDL to 173, then I'd strongly suggest you to start on lipid lowering therapy (Statin group of drugs) and at the same time just schedule an appointment with a Cardiologist for a complete clinical check-up..
Nothing too serious at this point, but I'd advice you to sit down with all those reports once you get back after 1st July'16 and try to organize them sequentially and let me know as it's getting complicated when those data doesn't add up..
It's good that you're not finding any health problem, however those stiffness in the body can be there due to lack of exercise and unwanted weight gain(your last report of Jan'16 is suggestive of BMI ~ 26 which is in the overweight range)..
Concentration level can go down in case of lack of / inadequate sleep, stress, prolonged working hours, improper diet habits or even lack of interest/boredom.. that requires complete and detailed history as well as physical evaluation, no hurry, just get back to me with that once you get back to your place..
As your Doctor has rightly pointed out, it's always good to avoid medication, but when your unable to work-out at the same time, then it becomes more deleterious ..
I'd also advice you to check with a dietitian for a comprehensive diet chart which will not only help you to loose weight but also will help to remain in sound health for future..please utilize if you're having any Diet plan/chart in your corporate profile and get hold of the dietitian (also make sure to mention the current body weight/height/daily activities/vegetarianism/as well as lipid profile reports and preference of cuisine for a complete chart)..
I have a few suggestions for you.. if you can't work out, why don't start with simple free hand exercises indoor, go for daily jogging (half an hour in the park either morning/evening will do)..also you should note that adequate sleeping of 8 hour per day is extremely important for our body's normal metabolism,,also make sure to drink a lot of water(3-3.5 ltr) through out the day, as it'll not only help to flush out the toxins from the body but to help maintaining a healthy body weight..
Get back to me once you're back in town , meanwhile start following all these already advised..
For future reference you can always get in touch with me, below is my direct follow-up link through which you can contact me anytime anywhere, I'll be happy to help -
