Brief Answer:
He needs to do a CT-IVP and PSA test.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
Well your concern is understandable.
As the ultrasound abdomen showed features of an enlarged prostate gland,
the frequent urination and urge are due to that. The doctor may have started some medication for it. A PSA test is also needed, along with urine routine and culture test. Blood may be coming from surface of prostate gland.
The pain over left side abdomen with blood in urine, needs further tests.
After testing for kidney function, like urea and blood creatinine, he should undergo a CT-IVP test. That should be able to give us an accurate picture about the recurrent left flank pain and source of bleeding.
According to the reports, your doctor should be able to advise further treatment.
