Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction

Question: I have Low T. And I get shots (150ml) every two weeks. But over the past three months, I have felt really lethargic and not having much passion for every day life. Couple of other items. I am a runner and I also do triathlons as well and train 6 days a week between biking, running and swimming. My performances in my road races (running) have not been up to what my training says I should be doing. My efforts in the pool and on the bike are somewhat decent. On the personal side, I cannot seem to even get hard (penis) in the mornings when testosterone is supposed to be high, so it has been a few weeks since sex, and even when we try my stamina is low. Like I only last a few minutes. And in the past that was never an issue.

I have also used Cialis to help with ED but over the last month, it has not helped either. I was on Viagra, but using a full pill really lowered my blood pressure. I am not fat by any means, but I do have a small gut that doesn't seem to disappear from the endurance work I do. I am not sure if I need to completely change my diet?

Brief Answer:
Check testosterone level;

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The symptoms you reported are suggestive for a low dose of testosterone, so you probably need higher doses.
While on treatment you should check the testosterone level once a year (if the latest result is normal).
Patients who are on intramuscular testosterone often have a nonphysiologic “saw tooth” pattern of testosterone levels which are higher than optimal soon after injection and decrease to lower than optimal before the next injection.
This is why I tend to prefer transdermal preparations or gel preparations in most patients, except those who have financial limitations or who cannot apply the transdermal testosterone themselves.
You need to check the testosterone level before applying the injection and 48 hours after. If there are large variations you need to take them more often ( once a weak or once in 10 days) or substitute the injections with transferdermal or gel preparations.
Hope i have been helpful.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

Thanks for your response. One question I have is, what is transdermal preparations? I have not heard of these, but I have heard of the gel treatment.

Brief Answer:
About transdermal patches;

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Transdermal patches is a common treatment, they are placed every night in the skin but do have a common side effect; local allergic reaction that usually respond well to corticosteroid creams.
Testosterone gel is recommended to be used in the morning, after the shower but you should follow some precautions not to be taken by others.
Regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
