Suggest Treatment For Excessive Weight Gain While Having Fatty Liver Disease
Question: Please Doctor help me inteprate fatty liver, prediabetic stages and insuline resistant with BMI level 32. Thanks
Brief Answer:
related to increased body weight
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
fatty liver means fat accumulation in the liver. This is a usually benign condition but it may evolve (rarely though) into hepatitis and cirrhosis. It is related to increased body weight, diabetes and alcohol consumption.
Prediabetes and insulin resistance are also related to increased body weight but they are in part the result of genetic predisposition to insulin resistance.
The key to managing these disorders is loosing weight, stopping alcohol, adopting a healthy diet and increasing your physical activity.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Please contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.
Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
I received your bmi, height and weight only
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the scanned document contained only your BMI, weight and height. Did you upload anything else? If you did, it doesn't show up! You can send it directly to me to this email address: YYYY@YYYY .
Your BMI suggests that the extra kilos is probably the cause of this condition. Loosing some weight would definitely help. The rest of the advice in my previous answer also applies. So watching your diet, increased your physical activity and loosing weight. I didn't meant that you do consume alcohol. Alcohol consumption is an aggravating factor for fatty liver though but it's not necessary to develop fatty liver. Being overweight suffices!
Regarding your diet, you should eat many vegetables, avoid red meat (eat red meat once a week or less frequently), eat fish, avoid sweets and food with fatty content (like pies for example) and make sure that the total calories are enough to keep you going but not too many, so that you can loose weight. You should consult a dietitian for a detailed diet plan.
Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
I suggest further testing
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the reports! It seems that you're prediabetic and have fatty liver disease. You can confirm it with an ultrasound scan of the liver. Excluding other causes of transaminase elevation would be appropriate. Testing for infectious and autoimmune hepatitis is the tests I usually suggest to such patients. HBsAg, AntiHBs, AntiHBc IgG+IgM, antiHCV, antiHAV, antinuclear antibodies, anti-smooth muscle antibodies and soluble liver antigen (SLA). Ferritin levels may provide clues for iron overloading which may also cause transaminase elevation. If all the above are negative and the ultrasound scan identifies high fat content in the liver then it's fatty liver disease (FLD).
FLD can be managed with weight loss and proper diet. The diet that benefits patients with diabetes (and pre-diabetes) also benefits patients with FLD. Loosing weight should be your ultimate goal.
Kind Regards!
