Brief Answer:
suspected Mononucleosis (EBV)
Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for asking HealthCareMagic.
I read your concern carefully and I can understand.
According to the symptoms and lab test, this may be Mononucleosis caused by EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus). The Positive EBV VCA-IgM antibodies indicate an acute infection by EBV and confirm the diagnosis.
The patient should be checked for the liver and spleen for possible enlargement.
Rest, drinking plenty of fluids, using antipyretic/pain medication(eg. Tylenol) are necessary.
Hope this is helpful.
Do let me know if you have any further clarifications, I will be happy to help.
Take Care!
