Suggest Treatment For Fatty Liver

Brief Answer:
If Liver enzymes are normal. No medications needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
How are your SGOT and SGPT levels? In case they are normal then you don't need any medications for your fatty liver. I would suggest regular exercise and a healthy diet.
Ursodeoxycholic acid is not recommended for fatty liver nowadays.
Grade I fatty liver can be a normal finding. You don't need treatment if blood tests are normal.
Do get back in case you have further queries or further clarifications

Sir, on first test SGOT 75 and SGPT 76 were found but after two month of treatment and avoiding alcohol it came within normal range, now it is normal. Sir, how fatty liver can be reversed to normal liver and how long it will take. (Sir, can I take alcohol occasionally). Whether Tricoline Citrate can be helpful for degeneration of fatty liver.
Brief Answer:
avoid alcohol
Detailed Answer:
What you had was alcoholic steato hepatitis. The best form of treatment in this case is stopping alcohol. I would not reccomend alcohol but invade you want to I would advise not more than 45 ml liquor at a time not more than twice a wk. The fatty liver if it reduces might take a few months. Medicines won't help much
The things which will help are
Avoiding alcohol
Regular exercise
Weight loss ( if you are overweight)
Hope this helps

Sir, now I am not taking alcohol, and taking a brisk walk for 45 mins per day. The GP I am consulting with have prescribed Toxifite Tablet (Composition- Artichoke Extract 320 mg, Lecithin 500 mg, Silymarin 140 mg) and Tricoline Citrate. But after taking these (especially Toxifite Tab) the bowel discharge is not clear. Another thing on Lipid Profile Blood test Trigylcerides is 360. Sir, whether fatty liver is reversible (or briefly it can be said once a fatty liver is always a fatty liver).
Brief Answer:
Not a cause to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Fatty liver can go away.. But you need not worry about grade 1 fatty liver as long as shot and sgpt is normal.
