Suggest Treatment For Fatty Lumps On Right Thigh
Question: I have been told by my doctor I have a fatty tumor on my right thigh. Lately it has begun to burn constantly. It doesn't present itself as a rash or visible lump. Any advice? PS It's not debilitating pain but definitely isn't pleasant either.
Brief Answer:
Please consult general surgeon and consider lump removal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Fatty lumps (called lipomas) usually does not give any symptoms at all. So it is possible that this is something else than lipoma (like varices or sebaceus cyst). Still there is nothing to be worried about, as other possible tumors are benign as well.
I suggest you to consult general surgeon. In case of any doubts, soft tissues ultrasound can be done to determine the nature of this lump. And the lump can be removed.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I neglected to include I'm type 2 diabetic if that changes your answer any.
Brief Answer:
Well controlled diabetes does not change anything.
Detailed Answer:
Diabetes increases the risk of infection including lump infection. But only if its not well controlled. Otherwise, it does not change much.
