Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
You are given paracetamol only-your doctor might have suspected viral cold/viral pneumonia. This will take about 5-7 days for complete cure, and need only antipyretics, bed rest and maintaining a good diet and hydration.
If there is severe cough and cold, you can add ''syrup cetrizine (1mg/ml)'' 2.5 ml at night for 5 days.
Anyhow, fever should be controlled in first 2 days (now you have given the medicine only for one day) of treatment. If the fever does not come down by the second day, we have to think of bacterial pneumonia, and may need addition of antibiotics too after examining the chest. If this happens, kindly get back to your doctor.
Meanwhile, as I already told, let him take some rest, have a light healthy diet, and drink enough fluids.

I gave Syrup P-125 with 6 hours interval. During this interval, the body temperature is rising and decreasing in sequential order. Is this normal?

Regarding cetirezine, it need to started only if baby is having cough and cold symptoms like nasal discharge or nasal block.once started,it has to be given once daily, preferably night time.
