Suggest Treatment For Fever And Severe Headaches
Question: My 16 year old daughter had a fever which started yesterday and became worse today (treated with Ibuprofin). She has a throbbing headache - again which has became more painful, she has pain in her hands, fingers and feet (mostly on top of the hands and feet) she also has a slight rash all over he legs.
No allergies to medicine . She is allergic to grass and pollens and gets hives. She has not had direct contact with grass, however. Otherwise, she is usually a healthy girl. PLease advise.

I have read your query and understand your concern.
Symptoms of your daughter suggest that it may be a viral fever which generally takes 3-4 days to go.
Keep giving either ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day or paracetamol 500 mg four times a day.You can also do tap water sponging in case fever gets high above 102 F.
Just wait and watch for another 48 hours and in case fever doesn't subside by that time,she would require a visit to doctor and get investigated properly to find the cause.
Treatment would depend upon the cause found.
