Brief Answer:
Give Paracetamol (acetaminophen 500 mg), Omeprazole 20 mg.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX

Thank you for writing in with your concern about your daughter.

From your description, it appears to be an infection, particularly because of the fever and headache. Most likely a gastrointestinal infection.

I would suggest you continue giving Ondansetron 4 mg every 8 hours for another 2 to 3 days, this will help in keeping other medicines and food inside.

For fever and headache, you can give your daughter acetaminophen 500 mg which is same as paracetamol (make sure you only get the plain acetaminophen containing brand, Tylenol usually contains codeine as well and is not recommended in your daughter's case. Give this for 3-5 days and observe.

Along with acetaminophen, she will need rest, regular diet, plenty of water/liquids and you should also give her Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day for 5 days to reduce the gastric irritation which is why she has vomiting.

Please make sure she is properly hydrated. I am suspecting it to be the early stages of the infection, so she might develop diarrhea, so be prepared for it, if she develops diarrhea, then you will need to add eletral (oral rehydration solution).

If the fever does not reduce even after 5 days, or if she becomes progressively ill, or if the vomiting increases, then you will need to take her to the emergency room and get a proper antibiotic prescribed and if needed get her IV fluids.

I hope this answers your query, please do write back to me if you have any doubts.

Best wishes for your daughter.

Regards.
