Brief Answer:
you can wait no need to panic

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Usually cold and cough is viral infection and may take up to a week to clear. The fever you mentioned seems to be mild grade fever.
Don't worry. As your doctor said continue the same medicines.
If your child is active and playful no need to worry.
Ensure that he drinks enough liquids to keep hydrated.
If he becomes dull or fever becomes high consult your doctor for other tests including dengue and widal for typhoid.
Wishing speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
go with your doctors advice

Detailed Answer:
1. Could be pneumonia, you can try xray.
2. Typhoid needs cefixime or ofloxacin. Advent is for respiratory infections.
3. Persistent fever can be the only symptom of dengue. Rash vomiting abdominal pain may or may not be there.
4. Unlikely flu with no cold.
