Suggest Treatment For Fever In An Infant
Question: Hello doctor, my newborn is 3 weeks old and he is running a fever of 100.5 degrees celsius. Should I be worried?

If the temperature comes down, nothing further needs to be done. However, if the temperature still remains raised he would need to be given paracetamol drops when the temperature is elevated. If the child is otherwise active and feeding well you need not worry but if the child becomes lethargic, does not feed well or has a decreased passage of urine, you would need to take him to a doctor and get him evaluated.
