Suggest Treatment For Fever, Shortness Of Breath And Black Stools

Question: I have been feeling feverish,short off breath, unsteady on my feet and my stools are black. I am on 1000 mg 0f iron, but it hasn't changed my stools like this.

I am Dr Mittal
I think all your symptoms can be explained by iron tablets.
Iron tablets are known to make stools black. It also cause other abdominal symptoms like pain and cramps, nausea and vomit.
The shortness of breath and unsteadiness may be due to the cardiac side effects of the iron.
So I would suggest you have the tablet at nightime preferably. I would also recommend a lower and if needed more frequent dosing.
By the way, why are you on iron tablets. Iron deficiency anemia is usually not a feature of males.
