Suggest Treatment For Fever, Sore Throat And Chills
Question: Im coming down with a temp, sore throat and eye lids hurt. The chills are more severe at night.
Brief Answer:
Viral in nature
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
what was the duration of symptoms?
According to your description here it looks you have contracted virus from a local source. Since virus has no targeted medicine, I suggest you to take medicine for symptoms. Acetaminophen 500 mg every 6 hours. Decongestant available over the counter like phenylephrine / phenylpropanolamine every 8 hours. If you say these the pharmacist can guide the brands in the shelves at the pharmacy. I suggest warm salt water gargles every 6 hours.
Drink plenty of fluids at least 3-4litres.
hope you get better in 48 hours, if not please call me back here.
