Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia
Question: I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 7 yrs ago. It has only been the last two years that I really neede pain medication, mostly because I exercize every day, get 9 hrs. of sleep per night, I eat healthy foods every 3-4 hours, drink lots of water and practice yoga and meditation. I am 61 yrs. old and I feel like I am 81. My fingers do not move at all in the morning for at least 5-20minutes. I take lexapro and adderrall, which help, but I am in constant pain. I take hydrocodone only for the flare up days. the new FDA regulations have made my doctor stop prescribing the medication. By the way I have tried lyrica and cymbalto with too many side effects the worst being significantly more depressed. Can you tell me what to do?
Brief Answer:
May be an alternative medicine would work.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that you have been receiving adequate medicines , since you have tried duloxetine ( cymbalta) and that doesn't suit you its better to try another similar salt like fluoxetine , its also very effective .
If your doctor is not keen on to this , you can take paracetamol 500 mg which will be available over the counter if there is no contrainidication . I hope this should help. Any other query let me know.
Take care.
