Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Jun 2016
Question: I am 73 yr old white male, smoker (1 pack/day) regular exerciser. I am diagnosed as having fibromyalgia. Take Fibroresponse (natural med) daily. Relieved symptoms for past two years but past two to three months I'll sleep 11-12 hrs at night (only remedy which seems to help) wake up at 7am, be active till about 2pm and then whole body shuts down, ankles, wrists, leg and shoulder ligaments about a 6 on pain scale. All energy gone and I can barely climb stairs. Have trouble breathing, so have to stay pretty well horizontal rest of day. Appetite is good bm's are regular. What kind of doctor should I get an appt with to do whatever needs be to find out what my symptoms point to? Thanks

I am thirsty for water alot, no matter how much I drink. I don't drink pop, no headaches nor stomach aches, just the exhaustion fatigue every day after 2.

Brief Answer:
You need to see an internist or an orthopedician.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

I would suggest that you need to see an internal medicine specialist. This doctor is also called as an internist in the US. You can also see an orthopedician. They also deal with the issue of fibromyalgia. Both types of doctors have an MD degree.

I hope that this specifically answers your question.

Thanks,
