Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.

Fibrosis and cirrhosis are different.

Fibrosis is scarring of the liver tissue.
Cirrhosis is scarring with haphazard regeneration of liver tissue.

Fibrosis can be considered early stage of cirrhosis.

Some of the common causes of fibrosis are alcohol intake, chronic hepatitis B and C infection, metabolic liver diseases, autoimmune liver diseases, Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Sometimes no cause can be found.

Fibrosis is less likely to be reversible. But medications are being developed to reverse fibrosis and stop progression with promising results.

Decreased alertness due to liver disease occurs only after liver failure occurs.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
