Suggest Treatment For Floaters In Eye
Question: I was lifting a heavy object and when I put it down my vision was swarmed with what seemed like transparent worms kind of like floaters there were about 20 or 30 of them it lasted about 1 or 2 mins. this happened before after coughing really hard a few years ago should I be concerned? thankyou

Thanks for the response.
As such heavy weight lifting does not cause floater.
In heavyweight lifting usually we hold breath and which causes increase blood pressure and which will further increases the IOP( intraocular pressure) which causes floters in eyes,that last for few minutes.
If there is a pathology already present in eyes,increase IOP cause haemorrhage which is a cause of concern.
In your case as you are not having any pathology there is no need to worry and you can resolve this issue with not holding your breath too long and do vulsalva maneuver( take breath in and out) so the pressure is maintained in eyes.
