Suggest Treatment For Flu In A Person With Diverticulitis
Question: I have been diagnosed with divertigulitis. Continue to feel like I have the flu. On third round of antibiotics. Legs are numb below my knees. I have history of breast cancer in 2001.
Brief Answer:
CT scan of whole abdomen
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since you have been diagnosed with diverticulitis and is on oral antibiotic ciprofloxacin and metronidazole but still feel like having flu i would advise you to do CT scan of whole abdomen to reasess the disease.
The scan will indicate whether infected pouches are still present in your colon causing the flu like symtoms and if present the antibiotic needs to be changed to amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.
Diverticulitis can cause numbness below kness for which i would advise you to take pregabalin tablets twice daily after food with your doctors advise.
