Question: I don't know what to do. On Tuesday I noticed pain in my neck behind left ear. No injury, no twists...also swollen spot on scalp thought made pimple. Everyday the area of pain has increased in size...noe the area is left ear...down neck to shoulder...over to the middle of back of head...up to top of scalp where area is that thought was pimple. There is swelling, pain, and knot behind ear size of grape. Knot on left side of head size of lemon. I have not been able to get relief with heat or ibuprofen. I really don't feel good and don't know if this will run its course or if need to be seen. I am 53 year old female with history of heart attack

From the history it seems to be hair follicle infection with post auricular lymph nodes enlargement.
Please send me the pictures of the lesion and swelling so that I can suggest you better and prescribe you accordingly.
Also tell me do you have any ear discharge also?
Any pain on moving ear pinna?
