Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Food poisoning may cause an increase in BP in patients who are under treatment for hypertension.

Typically for food poisoning the BP will be back to norm after 24-48 hours.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Hi back,

Since you haven't had before hypertension, than this is a sign that you are a prehypertensive patients.

If you were my patient I would recommend as follows:
- Avoid consuming salty food
- Avoid excessive use of advil and other NSAID drugs.
- Increase physical activity
- Stop drinking coffee, energy drink, alcohol etc.

This will help to stabilise your BP.
Wish you health!
