Suggest Treatment For Foot Pain

default
Posted on Thu, 12 Nov 2015
Question: I was having pain in my left foot for some time. It was a pinching pain able to ascertain the exact location but some where near the Cuboid and Metatarsal bones. I visited the foot specialist who reviewed the x-rays and opined Osteopenia. He further ordered for blood tests. The blood tests are out. Attaching the complete file along with the blood reports.

Kindly go through the same and let me know the treatment, diet and measures to reduce the pain and gain the bone strength.

Brief Answer:
Kindly upload Xray film. Take Calcium and Vitamin D supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

I have reviewed your reports but unable to view the pdf document as it is not opening. Your Doctor had suspected low bone quality or osteopenia. This could be a cause for the pain in that region of the foot 5th metatarsal Base.

It would be helpful to use a hard soled boot for walking. Eat food rich in Calcium and Vitamin D like eggs, chicken, lean meat, yoghurt, fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.

Apply hot packs for relief from pain. Take Calcium supplements like Tablet Shelcal CT twice a day. Take Uprise D3 sachets one a week for 4 weeks.

Kindly upload your Xray film for me to be in a better position to help you.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
