Suggest Treatment For Frequent Burping And Acid Reflux
Burping
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You are deeply concerned about frequent burping. Mostly burping is caused by swallowing air while eating or drinking. Sometimes just by reducing the speed at which you eat you can reduce the burping. Also reduce foods that may increase gas like soda pop and carbonated beverages. Also staying clear of foods like broccoli cabbage and Brussels sprouts will help as they have a tendency to create gas. After completing a meal adding gaviscon or any antacid with Simethicon will also reduce the extra gas.
If you have already tried these methods you may have a bacterial infection in your GI tract called Helicobactor Pylori. This bacteria is responsible for ulcers but can also be responsible for creating excess gas. Your doctor can do blood work to determine if you have the infection. Once that is done and you are positive your doctor can give you a treatment regimen that will eradicate the infection and hopefully stop the gas.
